Brian Wakefield brings over two decades of dedicated experience and leadership to the onsite wastewater industry, providing the foundation for Homefield Onsite Environmental and its affiliated enterprises. His career is marked by a commitment to comprehensive service, industry standard-setting, and technological innovation. 

Industry Leadership & Professional Affiliations

A recognized leader in Texas and nationwide, Brian Wakefield actively shapes the regulatory and educational landscape of the onsite sewage facility (OSSF) industry:

• Texas Onsite Wastewater      Association (TOWA): A long-standing board member since 2014, he      has served as both President and Treasurer. He has contributed      significantly to the Enforcement, Education, and Conference committees and      is currently the Treasurer of the TOWA PAC, actively developing and monitoring      state legislation.
• National Onsite Wastewater      Recycling Association (NOWRA): Currently serving a      three-year term on the National Board of Directors (2025–2028),      contributing a national perspective to industry best practices.
• NSF International: Involved in NSF meetings, assisting in the development and      refinement of crucial industry standards. 

Licenses, Certifications, and Expertise

Brian Wakefield's operational expertise is built upon a full spectrum of technical licenses issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and a deep understanding of industry products: 

• TCEQ Licenses: Holds key state certifications, including:
  • Installer II License       (OS0026873), obtained in 2007.
  • Maintenance Provider License       (MP#15), obtained in 2009 following the state mandate.
  • Class D Wastewater Treatment       Plant Operator License, obtained in 2006 currently expired
• Manufacturer Training: Extensively trained by various septic system manufacturers to      service and maintain their specific Advanced Treatment Units (ATUs).
• Prior Experience: Previously held a Texas Real Estate Inspector license      (2000–2006), providing specialized OSSF inspection services for real      estate transactions.

As a Founding Partner and Area Representative for the industry’s first national franchise, he plays a pivotal role in development, training, and onboarding new franchisees, ensuring consistent, high-quality turnkey services across the network.

B & J Wakefield Services, Inc. (dba Homefield Onsite Environmental of Ellis County)

As President and Owner since 2000, this entity was one of the inaugural Homefield franchises. The company is renowned for providing full-service, multiple-option maintenance contracts to its robust customer base.

Texas Septic Installations

As a Founding Partner, Brian Wakefield leads installation and consulting services for commercial Onsite Sewer Facilities (OSSF) and small Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP).

Texas Wastewater, LLC

Serving as President and Founding Partner of this distribution company, which supplies materials and products directly to Homefield Onsite Franchisees.

Aerobic Guard, LLC

As Vice President and Founding Partner, Brian Wakefield is at the forefront of OSSF technology. Aerobic Guard specializes in ozone disinfection systems, advanced control panels, and remote monitoring technology featuring Wi-Fi connectivity, notifications, and AI integration for smart diagnostics.

 With experience dating back to 2009, J D Stacks brings deep practical knowledge to the classroom as the founder of Sep-Techs. Operating out of Kemp, TX, J D has distinguished himself by staying involved in daily operations and maintaining a policy of being present on every job site. His extensive work across Kaufman, Dallas, and Tarrant counties provides students with insights grounded in real-world application rather than just theory.
